Barangay Lias has total land area of only 86.8 hectares, relatively small compared to the other bigger barangays. This is barangay Lias which is located on the southeastern part of the municipality and is bounded by barangays Lambakin, Saog and Ibayo. Lias is a predominantly residential barangay with seven residential subdivisions. Retail and commercial establishments have since mushroomed with the opening of SM Marilao located at the adjacent barangay Ibayo. Manufacturing industry has also contributed to the economy by providing employment to local residents. One of the two public secondary school in the municipality is located here, the “Assemblywoman Felicitas G. Bernardino Memorial Trade School”, which is the major provider of free education for residents of many neighboring barangays of the municipality.
